Microsoft’s foldable Surface Duo now costs the price of a regular phone
If you were curious about the Microsoft Surface Duo foldable Android phone but didn’t want to pay its original price of $ 1,399, first of all, I understand you. The good news is, you don’t have to pay such a high price to get one anymore. BuyDig sells the Surface Duo with 128GB of storage that works on GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile for just $ 699.
This phone came out in September at Dieter Bohn’s less than stellar reception. In his review, he praised the battery life, the superb hardware design, and of course, the pleasure of running two apps at once. The high price was a big hurdle, but even if the price is lower today, you will likely find that its camera is not competitive with other flagship Android phones at similar price points. Nevertheless, you may be able to ignore its shortcomings, since this is a unique device that is now in the territory of fire sales.

The Hori Split Pad Pro Controller is a great alternative for people who find the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con uncomfortable to use. Normally at $ 50, the midnight blue color is $ 40.50 on Amazon, which is a good price. Hori’s Joy-Con replacements can turn your Switch into a more ergonomic device which should make it easier to endure for a long time Monster Hunter: Get Up sessions. These do not contain a battery, HD rumble motors, or motion sensors. To this end, they cannot be used when not connected to the switch, so keep that in mind.
The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Wireless Headphones in White retail for $ 50 (normally $ 80) today at Best Buy. Anker claims up to seven hours of battery life on a single charge and up to 28 hours of total playtime from the battery inside its included Qi wireless charging case that can also charge via USB-C. I can’t attest to the sound quality of these, but the silicone ear tips should provide a relatively comfortable fit that blocks out some outside noise.
Updated May 13, 4:24 p.m. ET: Wellbots originally offered a variant of the Surface Duo that also works with Verizon for $ 690, but it sold out of stock. The retailer has told The Verge that they plan to get more stock today, so we’ll update this post again if that happens.
