Paranormal research at Shepton Mallet Prison: People will be locked in cells and could be hit by a ghost

Reading about paranormal activity is one thing, but here you can EXPERIENCE it yourself.

The Wiltshire Paranormal Research Society will investigate the UK’s most haunted prison and you can go.

Gary is one of the members of the Research Society that will be taking people to Shepton Mallet Prison in January.

He has studied demonology and has worked in paranormal research for over 20 years, including in prison.

He said: “We’ll have around 40 people, which is good. More people means more energy and that will hopefully mean more activity.

“The prison is generally very busy and it is a great place to investigate.”

What to expect

“A young boy was hanged there and he still haunts the prison.

“But then again, there was a lot of paranormal physical activity. People were hit and pinched.

“There is a lot of pressure and desperation in this prison and if you enter it with an open mind you can experience a lot.

“We will be doing sessions as well as cell locks.

“People will be able to sit alone in the cells for about 30 to 25 minutes.”

“The research company will be one year in January and we will be doing a lot more investigations.

“There are so many places across the country, but in the Southwest there is so much worth exploring.

“Sally in the Wood is definitely worth a visit. With outdoor investigations you have to put aside the sounds of animals and other members of the audience and you have to determine what is real and what is not. .

“There are a few places in Calne, Wiltshire that we want to investigate.

“And a few weeks ago we investigated a nursing home in Chippenham that was closed and we heard sobs and chants and footsteps.”
